Welcome to a real Azorean farm experience.

Want to see first hand what it's like to be an Azorean farmer, and have a truly rural, non-commercialized experience?

Then come and visit ‘The Farm’! They have 60 cows, heifers, and calves that graze on green pastures all year round and soak up the sunshine. Gena and João are always happy to meet new people and will explain about their sustainable milk production model that results in healthy cows and high quality products.

During a visit to the farm you can:

Learn how to milk a cow
Move the cows from pasture to milking barn
Help feed the animals
Stroke & Pet the calves
Enjoy a picnic style tasting of delicious raw milk, homemade jam and fresh cheese
Exchange thoughts with us about farming, food, and life!
Reconnect with your farmer and the processes involved in getting your food from farm to table.

They are open all year round and are looking forward to showing you the ropes!

A Public or private farm tour can be scheduled and it’s a great activity for both adults and children.

Tours can be given in both English and Portuguese.
