Example Itinerary:

Day 1&2

Transfer from the airport on São Miguel Island to the 5* Resort of Pedras do Mar, (approximately 30 minutes away), then relax, take in the stunning coastal scenery and unwind. On day two we will take you on a full day Island Jeep Tour to Sete Cidades (Seven Cities, one of the declared '7 wonders of Portugal' (lakeside lunch is included).

Day 3&4

A morning collection from your hotel; you'll be whisked away to Ponta Delgada, (the capital of the Azores), where you'll receive a briefing from marine biologists before a half day 'up close and personal' whale and dolphin watching experience.  To regain your land legs, you can enjoy some free you time and maybe take lunch at the beautiful marina.  Afterwards your second Island Jeep Tour will take you to Lagoa do Fogo (the lake of Fire); with its breathtaking views over the volcanic rim and lake as well as the chance to soak in a volcanic hot spring.

After such a fun packed day why not relax by the pool on day 4 or treat yourself to a massage with one of the hotels experts.

DAy 5-6

Take the next 2 days to maybe hire a car and visit the atmospheric town of Furnas with its stunning lake, calderas, hot springs and the tranquil Terra Nostra Gardens; 12 hectares of botanical garden. Not to mention tasting the Famous 'Cozido' (Meat and vegetables slow cooked over a volcanic vent for 6-8 hours) 

DAy 7&8

Take day 7 to explore the North and North East Coast in your hire care, taking in the many viewpoints with their stunning views over the ocean and pop into the Gorreana Tea Plantation, one of the two remaining tea plantations in the whole of Europe for a well earned cup of tea. A great location to recount your many memories made over the last week before your transport back to the airport the following day.
