Located on the north coast of the island in the parish of Santo Amaro is this lovely resort, made up of 14 accommodation units, with a choice of 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms.
The parish of Santo Amaro is 20 km from the capital (Madalena) and was, for centuries, the main shipyard of the Azores and is now home to just 300 inhabitants who are known for their hospitality and welcome.
The view to the west allows you to observe the whole bay of Santo Amaro as well as Pico Mountain.
The grounds were chosen for their natural beauty, their flora and the existence of several ruins, which have been sympathetically restored, safeguarding the historical cultural heritage and local identity.
All of the Lava Homes are equipped with photovoltaic panels, heating is done by salamanders to pellets, cooling is done by natural ventilation and the drinking water served is filtered local water by an active carbon system.
